Dr. Zoraida Brown is an elementary school principal with 27 years of experience in education, advancing instructional improvement, family engagement, and equitable student outcomes. Her research examines teacher qualifications, mathematics achievement, and educational equity for Black and Brown students in high-poverty urban elementary schools. Her dissertation examined how teacher preparation, experience, instructional practices, and socioeconomic conditions intersect with student outcomes and equitable mathematics learning. She is interested in strengthening instructional capacity and fostering meaningful partnerships among schools, teachers, and families.
