John S. Thomas
Elementary School Teacher
I have been a classroom teacher in first through third grade for more than 25 years across public and private schools, serving 50 to 350 students in rural and suburban settings. I’m an Edutopia community mentor and contributor. For three years, I was a school principal, and for six, a stay-at-home dad. I was an adjunct faculty member at Antioch University, New England, in the principal certification program. Before education, I spent more than 10 years working in marketing and management. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, drumming, and watching sports. You can find me on Instagram.
