Jessica Yakout

Jessica Yakout is an eighth-grade English language arts teacher, grade-level ELA lead, literacy researcher, and professional learning facilitator in North Carolina. She holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her work focuses on adolescent and interdisciplinary literacy, shared literacy practices across content areas, and how students transfer meaning-making strategies between disciplines. She has presented literacy practices at the university and state levels.
