Gloria Sevilla

Educator

Gloria Sevilla, M.S., B.A., is a first-year doctoral student at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education. As a former bilingual education specialist, Sevilla was a teacher and case manager for multilingual children with disabilities from minoritized backgrounds. Before entering the classroom, she was a bilingual child development specialist (infants to 3 years old) and the director and instructor for her high school alma mater’s Mexican Ballet Folklórico team. Sevilla is an educator committed to culturally and linguistically responsive teaching who was recently recognized as a 2026 New Distinguished Educator from Santa Barbara County.
