Chris Bach
Teacher
Chris Bach is a failed student turned teacher. After failing to graduate from high school due to his dysfunctional home life, he experienced a life-changing epiphany and enrolled at Portland Community College, where he learned how to be a student for the first time. He went on to earn his bachelor’s in English from Portland State University, followed by a master’s in teaching and an administrative certification at the University of Washington. He has taught 6th–12th grade across four states (WA, IL, CA, OR) and seven school districts, in English, ELD, tech, credit recovery, and various coaching roles. Passionate about engaging and actualizing the most disenfranchised learners, he provides technology tips and practical strategies for teaching reluctant learners at FailedStudent.com and on Facebook.
