Cheryl Abla
Education Consultant
With more than three decades of experience in education, I am passionate about helping educators turn research into practical, meaningful classroom practice. I am the co-author of Teachables: Bite-Sized Strategies to Make a Big Impact in Your Classroom (2024), The New Classroom Instruction That Works (2022), and Tools for Classroom Instruction That Works (2018).
Through Abla Educational Services, I partner with schools and districts to provide professional learning, instructional coaching, classroom-based support, new teacher development, and leadership coaching. My work centers on student engagement, high-quality Tier 1 instruction, classroom culture, and practical strategies teachers can use immediately.
I believe professional learning has the greatest impact when it goes beyond a single workshop. The real change happens through follow-up, coaching, reflection, and opportunities for educators to put new learning into practice with ongoing support. At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to help create classrooms where students are actively engaged in their learning and where both students and teachers want to return each day.
